Warren really knows his stuff and I would easily hire him again. Especially for those tasks that require some specialized knowledge. Coming from a building background, I knew that the installation of our dog door was going to be a bit tricky and I did not have all the necessary tools to accomplish the job on my own. This was not one of those easy through the door dog doors - done some of those in the past. I felt the bid was very fair and I liked the fact that Warren, from the get go, gave me the feeling that he was the right person for the job. Everything went as I had hoped. Thank you Warren and Joe. Mr. Hawley was very professional. He even called to let me know his ETA. He picked up the materials needed to replace the particle board under my kitchen sink which was damaged by a leaking garbage disposal. While replacing the particle board, Mr. Hawley noticed a leak in one of the pipes under the sink. He fixed the problem. I was very satified with the work Mr. Hawley performed. I just moved to the state and was overwhelmed with a garage full of packing boxes in no particular order.. When I called and said what I needed, they called back in only a few hours. The next day a hard working, very pleasant man showed up and organized the garage so I would know where to look for the things I need. Not pleased at all.  Initial contact after purchase of a special $125 for 2 hours of handyman work requested 3 different days and times that the services could be provided that would work in my schedule. Offered another day that I didn't choose,  but made it work. Asked what I would like done and was very clear about what was needed in writing. Once the day and time were set was asked to change the time to 5 hours later, changed my plans again to accommodate their schedule. Did give me 4 days advance warning of schedule change. On the day the work was to be done they were running late and asked again what I would like done and I reminded them. They had to stop on the way to the house to get supplies but didn't get all that was needed. I was charged for the time they shopped for the items and once they came to the house, there was very little they could do so they replaced a tub spout and then said they'd have to come back but they could spend a few minutes doing any other jobs I might need. So I had them tighten up loose doorknobs and asked for some bathroom fixtures to be tightened, they did one but not the other. We then started negotiations for how much more I would need to spend to get the work done I had originally requested. Was told it would be $200 more (which was for replacement equipment), plus another fee for the truck to come back, plus an additional $55/hour for the work. They generously offered to honor one hour of the original price, making sure they knew I was getting a deal from their original price of $65/hour. I still needed the work done so I reluctantly set up another appointment, for later the next month. I made arrangements in my calendar to be home when the appointment was set up three weeks in advance. Found out 4 days before the appointment that this would no longer work in their schedule as they had an important appointment and would be unavailable until at least 4 hours after the time scheduled. To me as a customer I had rearranged my schedule to make sure I was home again, and found later that it was a family conflict that kept them from being able to keep the original time. I understand family commitments and would have appreciated knowing that it was a family issue and not "an important appointment" that caused the cancellation of my appointment. I was made to believe there was another job that trumped mine.   So I asked for a refund of the hour I was still owed and was reminded that I still owed them $25 for the tub spout. I will be getting a credit of $30 and all I got for my $125 investment was a new tub spout and the opportunity to discover a company that I could never recommend.

It went well. First, Warren showed up and asked a bunch of questions about what we wanted done and was able to give us a quote within a week. It had been almost 20 years since the last exterior painting of our home. Dry rot was an issue in beams, on siding and trim. One exterior door also required replacement. We received multiple bids and chose Hawley & Sons based on recommendations of friends and observing that Warren Hawley was easily the most organized and detailed in preparing his bid. We also understood add-on repairs were a virtual certainty during the job. Hawley & Sons was not the cheapest bid but considering the quality of work, professionalism, daily organization, overall timeliness and fair billing for add-on work, I do not hesitate to recommend them. We were very pleased using Hawley Construction as our construction partner to remodel our hall bathroom.  From initial discussion of the scope of the project to tying up loose ends and ensuring all final details had been addressed, Andrew guided the process expertly and was a wonderful project manager to work with, managing the schedule, keeping us informed and checking the work details.  Navigating the construction process can be intimidating and daunting, but we were kept informed and always knew what to expect. I especially appreciated Andrew’s attention to detail, including making several key project suggestions that improved on the final scope of our project (such as adding the pocket door and centering the window) and Warren’s spot-checks throughout the process. The entire Hawley team, including Lalo and Manuel and their sub contractors, were competent professionals and clearly took pride in doing good work. We’ve had an opportunity to use the bathroom for a few months now, and the delight of this gorgeous remodel has not worn off yet. Not only is it efficient and practical as designed, but as the season changes and the sun lowers in the sky, the visual delight of the morning light entering through the new larger window bathing the space in warmth and serenity gives me daily cause for pause to appreciate the space and always puts a smile on my face. Had extensive dry rot on exterior of my home. Once dry rot trim was removed, additional damaged areas were discovered. They explained the process and the additional areas that need replacement. Each day, I would receive a written update and discussion so that I would be aware of everything ahead of time. They had to create some custom trim to match existing style. Once all rotted trim and boards were replaced, they painted all exterior trim and replaced boards. Everything blended perfectly. Workers kept everything cleaned up before leaving each day. As a interior designer it is appreciated when you find someone who does Quality work . I worked with Warren today at a clients home . He was great to work with. He was patient with me as he hung the chandelier , add 1 no 2 more links to the chain, woops make that 1 again. That was just one of the projects. He was mindful of the wood floors and kept them protect. He cleaned up after every thing was finished. He shared with me pictures of some of the work he has done ,and I was impressed . It went very well with Warren. He was always polite and delivered what he said he would. Contractors are HORRIBLE at communicating or being on time or delivering on time. We never had a problem with Warren. The men he contracted out to were similarly professional. They cleaned up after themselves and cared. Mr. Hawley responded to my inquiry promptly. Via Angie's List messages, we scheduled an appointment for an estimate of the work I wanted done. Mr. Hawley arrived exactly on time, was friendly and professional, and his price was right; so we scheduled the work. On the day the jobs were to be done, Mr. Hawley again arrived right on time, was friendly and professional, and did a fine job with the repairs. I am a local contractor in Napa California for 25 years in business and 15+ with other contractors in Northern California. One of my best clients lost their home just after three years of renovation to the fire of 2017. They chose to rebuild. I was asked to rebuild their dream house of 5100 s/f and I agreed if I could hire the right people I needed to get us out of the ground and through the frame. After the fire the search was on for good, qualified, insured and bonded contractors which was not easy. Between my concrete construction contractor and Warran Hawley construction, who framed the new house, this dream may not have happened. Warran Hawley and Sons were a fantastic company to work and deal with through the entire framing process. I was truly blessed with Warren Hawley and Sons and would highly recommend them to any one for framing or ground up projects as they handle all aspects of quality home building. There was one problem. For some reason one of the doors on the cabinets didn't close properly and there was a little bit of a gap there. He told me if there was anything wrong that he would come back and fix it but he never really got around to it and I had put the house on the market and it sold within a few weeks, so there was no point to him coming back after that. Hawley & Sons completed dry rot repairs and then repainted our home in May 2024.  A year later he came back and inspected the paint job for any fixes needed, and then his employee did a great job scraping, sealing and painting a few areas for repair. Unforeseen: fireplace rattling/resonating when home theater is in use. Warren modified fireplace (added brackets, dampening materials, etc.) to make sure it doesn't make any noise. To say the least: that was not easy! Exceptionally good with masking/protecting the room, our kitchen and family room share same space, kitchen had no dust whatsoever! After an accident on our country highway sent a truck through our rail fence and into our front yard, Hawley and Sons provided excellent & timely service. Warren provided a detailed estimate to send the insurance company, and work was scheduled quickly after the estimate was approved. The fence was repaired and painted to match, a damaged sprinkler was replaced, and deep, muddy ruts were filled & graded. The work was all of a very high quality. Superior work in every respect.

We are delighted with the results of the Master Bathroom remodel, and Master Bedroom new floor project just completed. Converting an early 80's builder grade to premium was the task and they achieved it through quality workmanship and process.  From the bidding to the contract, on to the project design and in to construction. Direct employees and subcontractors alike were all pros and a pleasure to work with at each stage of the work. Recommendations they made for vendors for us to select fixtures were superior, with great customer service. Project management was detailed, timely and attentive. Every subcontractor was absolutely professional.  Ownership involvement was always evident assuring results. A particular shout out Brennan Tile for their recommendation, and most particularly for superlative workmanship. It was a pleasure working with every one of these crew members. We're extremely pleased with the job Hawley and Son's did painting our house. The crew did very thorough prep work - caulking/patching all cracks in the stucco and window frames, meticulously masking and/or taping all the surfaces that were not to be painted, including our rather cluttered covered patio. The house I hadn't been painted in 20 years, so head painter Walter indulged us by giving our gutters and facia board two coats. They sprayed and then back rolled. Hawley & Sons' crews are hard working and do a good job. For us they retiled a bathroom floor and stripped the moldy sheetrock and insulation out of a shed in the back yard so I could decide how/whether to rehabilitate it. Their pricing is reasonable, and when we needed changes to the scope on the fly, Warren did not gouge us. The quality, punctuality, professionalism and timeliness of service was excellent. I would have accepted the cost/rate if it was clear ahead of time what the approximate cost/rate would be. I signed up for the $50/hr, two-hour special, with a rate of $55/hr. after the first two hours. I chose to combine several tasks which seemed reasonable at this rate. I was not advised that two people would be on this job at a rate of $100/hr for first hour and $110/hr. thereafter. I appreciate that two people made the fan jobs easier/faster. I needed my sliding doors on my closet repaired and my bathroom towel rack and closet shelf installed.  When I came home, he had fixed my closet door but the main door in the master bedroom was not fixed and was still broken, the towel rack had been installed twelve inches from the place that I had specified. I let the service provider know that I was unhappy with the service and he didn't fix what I had hired him to fix.  We communicated back and forth and he kept saying that he had made all of the necessary repairs even though it is still broken.

I am so very satisfied with my repair job from Hawley & Sons. I called them yesterday looking for someone to come & fix my side wooden gate, which was coming apart because of the rain. They had a good rating on Angie's list, so that's why I called them. I talked to Warren & he was very polite & said he could come out the next day & look at my gate. Sure enough, He called this morning & came out promptly. He did a beautiful job of strengthening all the boards and making it look like new. And he was so polite, I really enjoyed talking with him as well. I am so impressed with his work, that if I ever need a Handyman in the future, he is the one I will call and give references to my friends, as well. His price was very reasonable, as well. They were very good. I have nothing but positive things to say about them. The problem it's my rental property and my daughter actually lived in it. It is difficult for her to schedule time so I have to say that we were making it difficult for them to come out and he was very good about it. I mean he worked around our schedule, I have to say he was very good about it. They were very accommodating. I realized that they weren't sitting around with their feet up on the desk smoking cigar and taking coffee wondering when I was going to call them. We reached out to Hawley & Sons, Warren in particular, after a previous contractor left our remodel project in absolute despair. We were in a massive pickle of picking up the pieces. Warren jumped right in to not only assist us with services, but with guidance as well. His team, with included the fantastic Guillermo, quickly went to work on our structural issues and pushed us in the right direction in getting into our home. We also had the opportunity to work with Jose and Andrew who were quick to answer questions and aid us in contacting a manufacture for some product issues that they didn't even have to assist with. 2nd time I've used Hawley and Son's Construction in the last 45 days for work around the house and their work on this job was similar to the first job. On time, professional, competitive and discussed options and pointed out several items I would have missed. Owner Warren Hawley is on top of all aspects of the job and noticed some rot that must have gotten behind the window and down into the outside panel at the end of the day when his crew was done and he had a walk through inspection. He came back the next day and replaced and sealed that entire area at a nominal cost. Hawley and Son's will be my "go to" contractor for future jobs.

I contacted this provider to set up an appointment to get an estimate for repair work to be done on my rental property. I called two weeks in advance of the date I wanted to set a time. I live out of state and was making this trip specifically to meet with contractors and to get bids. I had to call the company twice - they never returned my first message. He was pleasant, however did not want to make an appointment. Instead, he asked me to send him photos of the work that needs to be done. This does not work for me and is unprofessional. I found Hawley & Sons by doing some research on Angie's List. Based on previous reviews and proximity to my home, I made an inquiry about handyman services. Mr. Hawley responded to my inquiry promptly. Via Angie's List messages, we scheduled an appointment for an estimate of the work I wanted done. Mr. Hawley arrived exactly on time, was friendly and professional, and his price was right; so we scheduled the work. On the day the jobs were to be done, Mr. Hawley again arrived right on time, was friendly and professional, and did a fine job with the repairs. The crew that did the work appeared competent, but I like how the owner, Warren, doubled checked his guys' work. Warren did not like how they rigged the ducting in the attic and redid it himself before calling the job complete. Warren could have left things the way they were and I would not have known any better. Because I had to run to the hardware store for a few items for the crew, Warren reduced the price by what I had to purchase, plus my mileage. Very fair business owner!

Found these guys off of Angie's list a few weeks back after talking to hubby about a bunch of renovations we needs done.. I went ahead and bought the deal for $545 a handyman for 8 hours (or 2 handyman for 4 hours is how it worked out).. Hubby called them up and told them what he needed done to the place and set an appointment up this was done July 24th.. Hubby went ahead and purchased everything needed for all the renovation projects around the house ahead of time just so it would be ready for them, when time comes.. Fast forward it's now August 5th.. Hubby called them that afternoon to ensure that they were coming the next morning.. August 6th Warren the owner showed up with another worker (believe his name is Joe, forgive me if you're reading this ) at 8am sharp.. Hubby told them he had a few things he wanted done but what was important to him was knocking down a wall to open up a room and removing & installing a new sink.. So Warren walked the house and reviewed everything that needed to be done.. Warren and Joe started on the wall first.. They were really respectful of our home and kept it clean as possible while doing the work.. They laid down tarp on the floor so when they knocked down the wall it would be easy for clean up.. Warren start the wall but delegated to Joe to do the rest, while he went to start on the kitchen sink (There were a few small issues with the sink removal but he found ways around it and successfully got it done.. Warren needed a few supplies to install the new sink, piping and garbage/ food dispenser, so he told hubby what he needed and left with him to go get the supplies.. Wall was down by 11am (very fast!) so now Joe started clean up.. They were so awesome we wanted to get them lunch so we did.. Small break :) So we had a little time left before the 4 hours were up but hubby talked to him to stay a little longer to finish other things we wanted done and pay him for it.. Warren finished the sink, installed all the new parts, and caulked the sink.. Since wall was done he needed to bring someone else in to blast the wall and get it smooth before matching it with the rest of our ceiling.. His third worker Juan came just after lunch and looked at what needed to be done, first thing first he laid down tarp on the floor before starting his work, then he went onto smoothing out around where the wall use to be.. We had a removal of a wall, fixing the void where the old wall was, old sink removed & replaced (piping and garbage/ food dispenser), a old vanity, removal of a cabinet bolted to the wall, cutting the bottom of a fence so that it would open smoother, fixing a closet door that's fell off a railing, a removal of a old stove vent fan & install a new one in and a new ceiling fan installed.. Warren asked us if we had anything else we wanted done but then he and his crew did everything we needed done and so much more.. Warren and his crew are a god send to us, all the work was done beautifully and in a fast pace manner.. He's super nice, polite,easy to talk to and will give you advice where you need it.. After everything was done he took all the old stuff we didn't need away and disposed it for us.. The Hawley family has been in the construction & remodel business for over 30 years.. The more awesome thing about them is they are a humble company who give back to the less fortunate.. Whether they're providing the means of feeding the homeless, helping the elderly with home repairs here at home or building hospitals in Africa they have helped the benefit of others worldwide.. They're not just content in building their business they know they must reach out and give back when needed.. One of the most easiest company's to deal with.. I've dealt with many contractors in the past and a lot of them either half ass their work, slack off, or avoid you period but you'll get none of that here.. They just don't stop moving, they keep move like the energizer bunny.. :p I Love these guys their super awesome, I truly recommend them to anyone and everyone who needs any work done small or big, these guys will get it done in a fast, respectable timely manner and will have open communication with you from beginning to end.. They're such hard workers with huge hearts.. Nothing but the utter most respect for this company, if I could give them a 10 stars I would.. I can't speak to Hawley & Sons' price range, as Warren Hawley flat out refused to let me pay him for the hour of work he did fixing two poorly hung doors in our new house. But I can say he did a fantastic job very quickly, and was thorough and transparent as well. Our back door was hung crooked, and so it was difficult to open and close and wouldn't lock at all. He tightened a few screws and carved out a new hole in the frame for the lock to go in. He was very upfront, explained that this is more a bandaid solution than anything, and told us a permanent fix would involve pulling off the trim and rehanging the door entirely, which would cost $300-500 depending on whether or not the door itself needed replacing (which is significantly cheaper than the $750 estimate given me by another handyman for rehanging the man-door in the garage - essentially the same job). My mother's bedroom door simply wouldn't stay closed, something wrong with the latch. He fixed that one in about two minutes. Since he did such a great job so quickly, I went ahead and asked him about a couple other projects I'm looking into (knocking down a wall in the kitchen, installing a sliding glass door in the guest room), and he gave us clear concise information and some good ballpark estimates. Warren was professional, thorough, and very kind - again, he patiently refused to take any payment from me. I would highly recommend Hawley and Sons for any projects around the home, and I'll definitely be calling Warren again when we're ready to move forward on our next project.

I wish all my experiences with contractors were this easy and great. I sent a list of items that I needed done around the house. They told me it would probably take all day. They said I could purchase materials or they could go to home depot and get them that day. I decided to purchase materials ahead of time so I could get as much done as possible. They arrived on time were very professional and did a great job. They were efficient and I was able to add a few more things to my list of repairs at the end of the day. I would definitely call them again.
